Is it allowed to edit or share Equinepassion graphics?

Since I have recently received some messages in social media where people ask me by my terms and conditions for edit or share Equinepassion graphics. I would like to bring some light into the darkness.

Basically, my graphics, illustrations, photographs and texts are copyright by me. Copying or further use is not permitted, unless a license for use has been acquired or the graphics are clearly available for free use. If you are interested in my services, you can contact me via e-mail or contact form. However, due to my limited free time, I only accept selected orders.

For one of my written programs, however, there is an exception to the use of my graphics. Namely the horse generator. A large part of the graphics, was created on behalf of the free browser game Equinepassion. Due to an agreement between me and my client, I am allowed to continue using my commissioned graphics in my free projects. In order to keep our agreement in the long run, graphics that were created on behalf of Equinepassion have to be marked accordingly.

Terms and condition for using Equinepassion graphics

Except for a few backgrounds, the horse generator contains only the graphics from the free browser game Equinepassion. In the long run I wanted to replace the graphics from my tool with my own art, but unfortunately I lack free time for this. Therefore it is very important that you name the origin of your screenshots correctly. In general, the following rules apply to the use of screenshots from my horse generator and Equinepassion too:

  1. Don’t pass my graphics as your own
  2. You have to named the origin to the graphic (https://www.klein-designs.de)
  3. There must be a relation to Equinepassion or my horse generator
  4. Commercial or editorial use is not allowed

Especially points 3 and 4 are especially important to me, because my graphics are a commissioned work, for which money was paid. If the reference to my horse generator or Equinepassion is not clear, I see a further use unfortunately as abuse. Enclosed are some explanations how to mark screenshots on platforms used so far.

Using on Instagram

If it is an account on which only screenshots of my graphics are shared, a source link in the profile is sufficient. Otherwise, you should mark the source to my graphics under your image. Through my website, potentially interested users of my horse generator finally become aware of the terms of use, as well as the reference to Equinepassion. Also often seen, but not allowed is the use of my images without relation to my horse generator or Equinepassion. Often I see accounts that use my screenshots and give the horses depicted on it a profile. Thereby it often says “Sold” or “Adopted” in the comments or in the description. So the picture was used out of own interest and is neither related to my horse generator (Just share your creation) nor to Equinepassion (share screenshots of your game or report about your account). Such usage will be warned from now on. If there will no reaction, I will be willed to take action against the use of my art by others.

Tagging on Instagram

Copy the line below to correctly link to the source of my graphic. Alternatively you can replace the copyright with a “by”. By tagging me, I will be notified automatically and can even take a look at your creations myself. You can also tag your images by my hashtag #horsegenerator, to share it with my community. You can also tag your creation by #equinepassiongame #equinepassionbrowsergame or mention @equinepassion_browsergame. This will be increase the range of your account for a little.

Copy this line to link the source of your Screenshot(s) correctly

Equinepassion and Fanpages

There are also more requests from the Equinepassion community. In the game itself, you can change graphics as you wish and share them with other players. Outside the game, you should always refer to the game. For example, on fan pages (websites on which the game account is presented). It is best to refer to the graphics used in the footer and in the imprint:

I would be very grateful for an additional link to my website. Names like “Graphics by Jacqueline Klein” or “Natalie Chrost” are not sufficient. Often there are even spelling mistakes in the name and your visitors will not find Equinepassion or my website. So please do not mention our names, link us correctly.

DeviantArt, Howrse,

Using my graphics on DeviantArt or Howrse is basically not allowed! (This is a serious topic for me). Did I miss something? Please contact me or leave me a message.
